Pontianak, 14 November 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Tanjungpura (FEB Untan), successfully held SATIESP VIII 2025 (Annual Academic Seminar on Economics and Development Studies) as a platform for scientific discourse and contemporary economic policy discussions. The event took place from 12–14 November 2025 at the Prof. Syamsyuddin Djahmat Hall and the Universitas Tanjungpura Conference Building.
Through SATIESP 2025, FEB Untan aims to achieve three main objectives:
To facilitate academic dialogue among lecturers, students, and practitioners regarding strategies for sustainable economic development.
To present innovative ideas related to digital economics and financial inclusion.
To formulate policy recommendations for local and regional stakeholders (provincial government, private sector, and community organizations).
The event was open to undergraduate students from the Department of Economics & Development Studies (IESP) and related study programs within FEB Untan.
By organizing SATIESP 2025, IESP FEB Untan reaffirms its commitment as a center of economic and development thought in West Kalimantan. This seminar serves not only as an academic forum but also as a tangible bridge between economic theory and public policy to promote growth that is fair, inclusive, and sustainable.
