As part of its commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education and strengthening academic governance, the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Universitas Tanjungpura conducted an academic benchmarking visit to the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia, on 11 July 2026.
The benchmarking activity served as a strategic forum for exchanging ideas and sharing best practices in academic development. The discussions focused on several key topics, including the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum, innovative and adaptive teaching and learning strategies, the management of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Program, strategies to enhance student scientific publications, and the development of international classes to strengthen the global competitiveness of academic programs.
Through this benchmarking initiative, the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Universitas Tanjungpura expects to adopt valuable best practices implemented by the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia, as references for improving academic policies and educational innovation. The visit also reinforces inter-university collaboration in support of excellence in education, research, and community engagement.
